Recently

My Dad introduced me to an iphone app called Qwiki this morning. I love my Daddy very much, and I love him even more now. I am so happy to have downloaded this app, there is a good chance I may overuse it. You may lodge any complaints directly with my Dad :)

Meanwhile, here is an overdue Recently post in a new form. I hope you enjoy it. Needless to say, I LOVE it.

In other news - and this qualifies as a NEWSFLASH - the Big Boat arrives today, one whole day ahead of schedule. This amount of excitement cannot be good for a Braxton Hicky pregnant woman like me!

The First Week in Pictures

We didn't exactly travel light.

Some plastic Giraffes provided hours of entertainment.

We had promised her there'd be swings and slides!

And there were.

On several occasions!

Can't really fault 17 degree weather in the middle of January. There were people swimming. Emily fancied
joining in and has asked me if she could "jump in the sea" each time she's caught sight of the sea since.

But she's obviously also heard about the snowmen she's missed out

on in England and demanded a play-doh snowman one morning!

Unrelated but important note: Due to an unrelenting attack of spambots, I have been left with no choice but to turn word verification on for comments. I hate it, probably as much as you will, but the darn bots are doing my head in. So please accept my apologies and do continue commenting!

Recently

I've been tired this week. I've only italicised that but in truth, I could use BOLD CAPS too. That's how tired I've been. No doubt punishment for daring to say to someone that it seemed to be getting better last week. Sure, there are blog posts - they're just stuck in my head. Every time I sit down to write anything, I crash. So I've just not bothered. Instead, I've updated the blog header and here is a quick round up of our week.

We've written some very important post-it notes. Very seriously.

We've become obsessed with the fluff that hides between our toes.

Obsessed.

We've had sweet, unplanned playdates with neighbourhood friends.

We were fairies for 4 minutes. "Off! Off!"

And had colouring sessions with good friends.

Personally, although I've been a bad blogger, I was apparently a good wife.

Hubby treated me to these beauties yesterday. I have - somehow - managed to save three for tonight.

In reality, I could eat three hundred. They are divine.

We've chased friends up and down the slide in unexpected sunshine.

Which reminds me, will someone please tell Autumn to stop teasing and really get here?!

Recently

Here's what we've been up to recently...

Nannu visited for a weekend and lots of time was spent playing together!

Growing feet = new shoes

We caught up with little NCT friends

And had lots of fun with Daddy

She is really, really trying to colour within the lines :)

Emily's Mickey obsession has reached new levels.
He even gets given her beloved Cloth to sleep with... now that's special treatment right there!

We also visited Willows Farm Village with some good friends... but that deserves a post to itself.

Last Week in Pictures

Running a bit late with this one, but here goes :)

Discovered sharon fruit. The jury is still out on them -
I think they might actually be too sweet for my taste!

I found the Laugh & Learn Teapot set in the second hand shop for £3.50 and bought it for Emily.
Everyone and everything has pretty much had to drink imaginary tea ever since.
Yes, even the monkey.

We discovered she can correctly point out all these animals when asked where each one is.
She is also trying to say koala and giraffe, and can say bear and hippo clearly.

I discovered this little gem!

We watched her clothes get washed. Fascinating stuff.

And we watched rain fall.

New specs... at last!
